h-takarajima

All NAC adventures are activities that involve nature.

h-takarajima

There is no guide on board the Ducky. You may feel anxious at first, but the greatest appeal of the Ducky is being able to control the course you want to follow by yourself!

h-takarajima

Even if you are a beginner, you can rest assured that the guide will give you a detailed lesson on how to use the paddle before you board. The guide boat will run alongside you and support your boat.

h-takarajima

Check in at NAC CENTRE and change in the separate changing rooms for men and women. After the tour, cool down with a delicious lunch at the cafe on the second floor while looking out at Mt. Yotei!

The Ducky was named after the way it moves across the water, and its quick maneuverability is its main appeal.

  • It was fun!

I went with my family. It was my first time to do ducky diving, but the guide was very kind and taught me well, so even though I struggled at first, I was able to enjoy it by the end! It seems that the water flow was weak that day, but it was still quite thrilling for me as it was my first time.   (This review has been machine translated)
  • Ducky is the best though

My husband and I did the Ducky. The instructor was very kind and friendly and we had a lot of fun! However, the reception staff, both male and female, were very rude to us. They didn't even greet the customers who came in, and the female staff was really rude to us, even though it was our first time and we didn't really understand. No smiles, no greetings, and a bad attitude. That was the impression we got!   (This review has been machine translated)
  • Ducky is the best!!

It was my first time trying out a Ducky! There were no other participants in the two-seater group, so the guide gave me one-on-one instruction, and I quickly got the hang of it and had fun from start to finish! The weather and temperature were both perfect, and the staff were very helpful, so I'm really glad I participated. Next time, I'd like to try riding alone.   (This review has been machine translated)

  • A thrilling experience

It's thrilling! You have to take into account the meandering of the river, the strength of the current, and the position of the rocks, and sometimes you have to control your boat, and other times you have to paddle hard, or you'll easily sink. It's an experience that leaves you with a great sense of accomplishment.   (This review has been machine translated)
  • It was my first time and it was fun

I participated in the Ducky tour alone. It was raining and the river was swollen, but the staff member said that it's more fun to paddle a Ducky when the water level is high. The Ducky is maneuverable, but it was hard to paddle alone. In parts of the river where the current was calm, I stood up on the Ducky and rode it, which was fun.   (This review has been machine translated)
  • Summer Ducky

I went on a Ducky ride with my husband about 3 years ago and it was so much fun that I wanted to do it again, so I did this time. I wanted something more intense than rafting and wanted to be able to ride it alone, so I chose the solo Ducky ride, and it was a great decision, it was really thrilling and fun. The guide was watching over me the whole time, so I was able to play safely! I got stuck on a rock, but they helped me right away. It was such a fun way to play in the river, I'd definitely do it again. They even took photos, and at the time I thought it was a little expensive so I didn't buy it, but I really wanted it, so I bought one later. They were very courteous over email and phone, and I was able to get the photos, so I only have fun memories. I'd like to go again next year!! It was a sunny day so I could see Mt. Yotei in beautiful light and it felt great!   (This review has been machine translated)
  • A little subtle

Hmm. I've done rafting and kayaking elsewhere, but unfortunately it was the least fun I've ever had. It can be difficult if Ducky isn't used to it. But the instructors were there to make sure we were safe, and it didn't feel like we were having fun together. Yes, of course it's a business, but it really felt like everything was done for business. It felt like a sloppy job. Photos were 800 yen each (I think? Or was it 600?). And when you make a CD with all the photos of us in it, it costs 3000 yen. I thought, come on, these aren't school trip photos. Plus there were only a few photos because we were in a group. The other places I've asked for photos have taken lots of them before. I don't think I'll use this place again.   (This review has been machine translated)
