Go riding in the vast forests of Onuma near Hakodate. The most distinctive feature of this day will be that it starts with catching the horse you ride with your own hands.
Even if it is difficult to catch your horse, you must approach them patiently. The moment when the horse calmly allows you to touch it, there will be a touching heart-to-heart connection. Then, you will take the horse’s temperature and pulse to check their health, brush, and then saddle the horse yourself. When you’re done, you will finally head into the forest. This is an experience that you cannot experience just by riding a prepared horse!
Most of the horses are docile Hokkaido horses, and there is a simple lesson at the beginning- so even beginners can feel at ease. By participating multiple times, you can improve your riding level to intermediate and advanced! Then you can go on longer courses into the deeper forests.
