Visit a small town in northern Hokkaido on this snowshoeing adventure! In the Kinsenkyo Gorge of Takinoue, the Shokotsu River freezes every winter to create beautiful ice falls. Put on snowshoes to walk on the snow and view this beautiful sight along with winter creatures.
A great chance for animal lovers, this is an opportunity to see the famous “snow fairy” long-tailed tit, Stellar’s sea eagles, ezo squirrels and foxes, among other wild birds. Your guide will introduce you to this incredible winter landscape while teaching you about the wildlife and nature of the area!
This is a perfect trip for stopovers while visiting the northern part of Hokkaido! Come join this gentle but jam-packed snowshoeing trip, with many chances to get up close to the wildlife and beauty of eastern Hokkaido. You will also get a tea break with local teas and handmade treats as well!
