The Makomanai area, about 20 minutes by car from the Sapporo city center, is still filled with abundant nature, including protected forests, the Makomanai River, and Makomanai Park.

It is also an area where you can trace Sapporo’s history, including seeing remnants of the pioneering era.

A walking guide who knows Sapporo inside and out will take you through one of these fascinating areas of the city. Your guide was born and raised in Sapporo, and is an expert on walking, having walked footpaths and trails all over the country! He currently works as a walking guide not only in Hokkaido, but also throughout Japan and overseas.

Pick-up from your hotel at 6am [approximately 20 minute drive]
Join a guided stroll around the Makomanai area for approximately 1.5 hours
After the tour, you’ll be dropped off at your hotel [arrival back at the hotel around 8:30am]
Enjoy your delicious breakfast that awaits you when you arrive at the hotel!!
