Now it's time to make your beeswax candle! Can you make a nice, straight candle?
Each finished beeswax candle is unique. No two candles are the same.
The melted beeswax is dipped into the wick of the candle. After repeating this process, the candle will thicken.

It is said that bees will only collect 1 teaspoon of nectar in its entire life. The bees take this precious nectar in order to create wax, which they then use to build their hives. It takes 10 times that amount of nectar to make 1 gram of wax!
This precious natural wax is called beeswax, and has historically been used for a variety of purposes. From making mummies to lighting churches, it has played an important role in history. It is said that beekeeping was introduced to Japan in the Meiji era. Now honeybees are attracting attention and used an indicator of the health of the environment.
