Travel in Sapporo is Getting Easier
Great news from the Sapporo City Transportation Bureau! Starting from April 26th, 2025, all subway stations will have credit card readers at the station gates. For visitors who can use touch payment on their credit or debit cards or smartphones, they no longer need to deal with the hassle of preparing an IC card or buying a paper ticket. This is great news for travelers around Sapporo.
