Tour Highlights

Experience incredible and exhilarating downhill riding
Cycle through the vast landscapes of Hokkaido

Enjoy a beautiful 35km downhill course that runs toward Koshimizu on the eastern side of Hokkaido. In the Okhotsk area, this is part of the Akan Mashu National Park.

Start at Rest House Highland Koshimizu 275, located at the 8th station of Mt. Mokoto in the national park. This is a spot to enjoy the incredible views of Lake Kussharo, Japan’s largest caldera lake, the Shiretoko Peninsula, a World Heritage Site, Mt. Shari, and the Sea of Okhotsk.

Enjoy cycling through Hokkaido, with refreshing sunlight filtering through the trees and endless potato and wheat fields.

Ages 12~65 welcome
Participants must be taller than 135cm and less than 100kg

Overview

Available Period: Late April~ Late October

Duration: ~3 hours, between 10:00～15:00

Itinerary: 9:00- Meet and move to Koshimizu Tourist Center. We will provide transportation from the meeting place to the starting point.
10:00- Arrive at Highland Koshimizu 725 (starting point)
10:00-10:05- Lecture
10:15-10:20- Take a break at the spring water spot. We will take several short breaks along the way.
12:30- Finish
13:30- Return to starting point and disband

Notes

The course is ~35km long. Participants should be physically fit enough to participate.
We may refuse participation from beginners who have not ridden a bicycle before.
If the tour cannot proceed due to heavy rain, lightning, wind, or blizzard, we will cancel the tour and inform you.

Cancellation / Changes

A cancellation fee of 100% is charged if cancelled after the start of the event or in case of a no-show
A cancellation fee of 50% is charged if cancelled on the day of, before the start of the event
A cancellation fee of 40% is charged if cancelled 1 day or less before the event
