When the steam rises, it looks white on a blue sky, and the view becomes a little hazy on a cloudy sky. On days with no waves, you can see the dorsal fin and body, but on days with waves, if you look long enough, the steam will rise again.
You can see sperm whales, minke whales, killer whales, Pacific white-sided dolphins, porpoises, beaked whales, and more.

In winter, the sea of Rausu is calm and mirror-like because of the drift ice.
You can see the drift ice and the reflection of Kunashiri Island and the Shiretoko mountain range on the transparent surface of the water. We recommend taking a sightseeing tour from the morning to the afternoon on a sunny day, as the cool air is also pleasant.

- Boarding will be on a first-come, first-served basis, but we also give priority to elderly people and people with disabilities. Please inform a member of staff before boarding.
- During the day, it is about -3 to -5°C, but it gets even colder in the early morning. Please take sufficient measures to protect yourself from the cold before boarding.
