Koshimizu, located in the Okhotsk area on the eastern side of Hokkaido near Shiretoko, is full of nature! This is a quick bird-watching course that can be enjoyed with just an hour of spare time!
Starting with Lake Tofutsu, which is known as a wild bird paradise, you can find birds throughout the seasons in a diverse natural environment including forests and wetlands.
Experience bird watching while listening to explanations from a local guide- this course is highly recommended for first-time birdwatchers!
[What kind of birds can you see?]
- Summer: the Japanese bush warbler, stonechat, scarlet finch, Japanese bush warbler, white-tailed eagle, etc.
- Winter: Stellar’s sea eagle, Japanese long-tailed tit, great spotted woodpecker, mountain jay, treecreeper, etc.
- You can see many birds depending on the season!
