The Tokachi Sky Brigade hot air balloon club soars through the skies around Tokachi and Obihiro in early mornings all year round.
Why not escape from the hustle and bustle and troubles of everyday life and discover a new you in a world where you can see the vast Tokachi Plain and the majestic Hidaka Mountains?

Ages 6 and older welcome
Guests 15 years old and younger must be accompanied by a guardian
Min. participants for flight: 2
1-5 participants. Please consult us if you have more people.
In case of a solo participant, we will only fly if other customers have applied on the same day and are available to ride with you.

Meeting Location

Guests staying at accommodations in Obihiro or Tokachigawa Onsen will be picked up at their hotel. Otherwise, the meeting place will be shared via email after your reservation and before the day of the experience.

Depending on the wind direction on the day of, the flight will depart from a location 10 to 30 minutes from Obihiro.
If you are coming to the meeting point by car, we will inform you of a roadside station or similar location close to the takeoff point.

Experience Details

Pick-up before sunrise (~3:30 AM in summer / ~5:30 AM in winter)
– Arrival at takeoff site (~4:00 AM in summer / ~6:00 AM in winter)
After arrival, prepare for takeoff and take off (~5:00 AM in summer / ~7:00 AM in winter)
~1-hour scenic flight
Landing → Balloon retrieval / Commemorative photo (~6:30 AM in summer / ~8:30 AM in winter)
Return and drop-off at hotel (~8:30 AM in summer / ~10:30 AM in winter)
Tour ends

Due to sunrise and other conditions, the overall time may be approximately 2 hours later in winter.
This is just a model case, and the schedule may change significantly depending on weather conditions, so please keep your schedule open throughout the morning.
Meeting/Check-in- Pick you up at your hotel or other location.
Explanation- We will communicate in advance via LINE or email regarding clothing, footwear, belongings, and any other requests.

Pickup times will be decided before the flight, and may change depending on weather or other factors.

Notes

When applying, please let us know the weight of each participant (total weight if there are multiple participants).
If the tour cannot proceed due to heavy rain, lightning, wind, or blizzard, we will cancel the tour and inform you.
Guests who are pregnant or may be pregnant cannot participate.

Cancellation / Changes

A cancellation fee of 100% is charged if cancelled on the day of the event or in case of a no-show
A cancellation fee of 50% is charged if cancelled 1 day or less before the start of the event
A cancellation fee of 40% is charged if cancelled 3 days or less before the event
