The Shiretoko Five Lakes are a scenic spot that are the symbol of Shiretoko. Surrounded by virgin forest, you can walk around all five of the mystical lakes on the walkway and elevated boardwalks. Walk through the forest where numerous wild animals and plants live and experience the majestic nature of Shiretoko up close.

Meeting Location
Meeting location is the Shiretoko-Goko Lakes Field House. Pickup available from Michi-no-Eki Utoro-Shirietoku or accommodations in the Utoro area. Please choose your pickup location on the reservation form.

08:10~8:30: Pick up in Utoro area for those using shuttle service
08:50: Meet at Shiretoko Goko Field House
09:00: Attend lecture and start trekking
12:00: Return to Shiretoko Goko Field House. Tour finishes
12:20~30: Drop off in Utoro area

Notes
- If the walking trail is closed due to brown bear sightings, we may change to an alternate walking location.
- The tour will proceed in case of rain.
- If the tour cannot proceed due to heavy rain, lightning, wind, or blizzard, we will cancel the tour and inform you.
- There is no restroom available during the tour. Please keep this in mind before starting.
- Please come to the agreed place on time. If you are late on the day of the tour, we might cancel your reservation so that the other guests can participate.
- Encounters with wildlife are not 100% guaranteed.
- Be responsible for your own health. If you do not feel good, please consider cancelling the tour.
Cancellation / Changes
- A cancellation fee of 100% is charged if cancelled one the day of the event or in case of a no-show
- A cancellation fee of 50% is charged if cancelled 1 day or less before the event
- A cancellation fee of 20% is charged if cancelled 2 days or less before the event
