From Lake Abashiri to the Abashiri River! This highly adventurous course lets you experience the adventure of kayaking under your own power.
On the lake you will leisurely glide across the calm waters, and once you enter the river you can see wild birds such as kingfishers, ducks and white-tailed eagles along with the gentle current. You can also see carp jumping on the water’s surface and Abashiri’s specialty corbicula living on the riverbed.
Once in town you can go under a bridge and go down the river while looking at the high walls of Abashiri Prison, making this a tour full of highlights. Locally produced snacks and drinks are included!

- Launch from Lake Abashiri Connectrip
- Head to the Abashiri River while admiring the majestic nature of Lake Abashiri. You’ll be overwhelmed by the dynamic change in scenery from nature to the city!
- Go with the flow of the river to Kagamibashi Bridge, passing the walls of Abashiri Prison
- Finish kayaking and we’ll return to Connectrip by car.
