This is the first tour in Japan where you can enjoy SUP with drift ice as a backdrop.
Drift ice can be seen floating every year in the Sea of Okhotsk, located in northeastern Japan. The drift ice season runs from January to March, with the peak drift ice SUP season occurring from late February to early March.
Hokkaido is the southernmost spot in the Northern Hemisphere where drift ice appears. If you’re lucky, you might even spot animals that come from the far northern seas, such as Steller’s sea eagles and spotted seals.
