Trekking along the coast is popular.

We head towards the sea through the grasslands with the fresh autumn breeze. The fields are covered with silver grass as tall as a person, and paths that are impossible for people to walk on are easy with a horse.

Once you leave the forest course, you'll be at the Sea of Japan... Trek along the sandy beach while feeling the scent of the sea! Fresh grass, the smell of the sea, the wide sky... an unforgettable experience awaits you.

  • Walking with the horse

1 person I made a reservation for the 100-minute course in the morning of November 6th. I wanted to have a Hokkaido-like experience, so I chose this horse trekking. It was my first time riding a horse. As I waited at the reception desk of the riding club, a small dog came to greet me and say hello! I petted it and replied. I went down to the first floor, changed into my riding clothes, and went outside. In the stables, I could see the horses being brushed quietly. I stared intently at the white horse being brushed in front of me, and saw that it was wearing reins and a saddle. It seemed to be my partner, her name was "Lillian" and she was 25 years old and said she was a laid-back girl. I learned how to handle it by riding around the horse arena on the premises several times. This time, there were other men and women who had made reservations besides me, so the instructor and I would go out on the course with the four of us. On to the course!! ! Lillian and I were following at the back, walking through rice fields and overgrown trees towards the overseas direction. Along the way, we went through places that made us think "Are we going through here?" lol The surrounding area is surrounded by nature and there are no buildings, so we were able to feel the vastness of Hokkaido's land and sky. The course included puddles, small bridges, ascents and descents, and we coordinated our breathing while calling out to Lillian. When riding a horse, your eyes are high, but if you lower your head, you'll see her fluffy ears and they bounce up and down, so please pay attention to them☺️ When we arrived at the Susukino Plain, we could see the sea!! It was the Sea of Japan. It was my first time to see the sea on a horse, and the view was amazing and it felt great. We splashed around on the beach, then made a U-turn halfway and returned to the way we came. On the way, Lillian was often separated from the line (about 10 to 15 meters) but she was at her own pace lol But the horses seemed to remember the course, so it was fine (This review has been machine translated)
  • I enjoyed it very much

This time, my husband and I participated. The weather was fine and the air was fresh, so after a little practice we followed a staff member through grasslands, bridges, forests and other paths to the sea. The wind was strong and the waves were big, but the view from horseback was truly amazing. The staff were cheerful and friendly, and when I was cheeky enough to ask for photos, they had taken lots of them without me noticing, which I was very grateful for. The horses were also calm, which was very soothing. Thank you very much! (This review has been machine translated)
  • Coastal trekking

I participated alone. It was my first time horseback riding, but the guides and the horses were professionals, so I was able to enjoy myself without worry. They were kind enough to explain any concerns I had, such as transportation and whether it was OK for beginners, so I was able to participate with peace of mind. I'd definitely like to participate again. (This review has been machine translated)

  • thank you

I took the horseback riding on a sunny day in September between typhoons. I went alone, but there were other people there who had horseback riding experience, so we joined them. On the way back from the horseback riding, we enjoyed some recommended ice cream, which is about a 10-minute drive away. (This review has been machine translated)
  • ⭐︎Coast Horse Trekking⭐︎

My husband and I and our 1st year middle school daughter participated during the summer holidays. It was a thrilling experience pushing through grass to the beach in places that you can only get through with a horse. I was surprised when we ended up in the sea further than expected when I thought we would just take a little walk on the beach, but the sea breeze felt so good and it became a wonderful memory. It was my first time on horse trekking, but the horses were very smart and I didn't feel scared at all. It was also attractive that it was close to Sapporo, and I would like to participate again when I travel to Hokkaido. Bear the pug at the reception was also very cute ♡ (This review has been machine translated)
  • I definitely want to go again!

I was very satisfied with the course, which took me through forests, fields, rice paddy paths, and along the coast with the cute horses. Thank you! The lady who walked with me also taught me a lot about horses, which was very educational. (This review has been machine translated)
  • Horse riding experience

It's an hour's bus ride from Sapporo. I participated alone. I thoroughly enjoyed the 100-minute horse riding experience and was very satisfied. They also took me back to the bus stop on the way back. The horses were very calm and the course was full of nature and flowers in bloom, so it was a very pleasant experience. On the way, I also saw Ezo deer and foxes. (This review has been machine translated)
  • Horse trekking along the coast

I went on a coastal trekking trip with my sister, something I had always wanted to try. We walked along the footpaths of the water source where damselflies swarmed, through the bamboo thickets, and to the coast. The view of the Sea of Japan from horseback while listening to the sound of the waves and the wind was amazing. (This review has been machine translated)
  • A series of unprecedented experiences...

I participated with my wife. Although it was a bit windy, the weather was good and comfortable. It was a long outdoor ride that I had never experienced before!! ・Trekking through a field with thick bamboo grass ・Crossing meltwater ・Trekking on the wavy side ・When there was a gap in the front, we caught up by trotting (The horse did it on its own). The "feeling of being a little unsatisfied" that I had felt up until now was gone. It was a very satisfying long trek. (This review has been machine translated)
  • It was a lot of fun

We participated as a couple. The seaside trekking scenery was so beautiful that it moved us. Even if we wanted to see it for ourselves, we couldn't. We realized that we were only able to see the scenery because of the horses. We would like to use this service again. It would be great if the scenery was beautiful and could be photographed. We didn't have time to take photos on the horses, so we gave it four stars with the hope that there would be a service that would allow us to have photos taken of us. We participated as a couple! The scenery was beautiful and it was a lifelong memory! The guide was also very kind! (This review has been machine translated)
  • Impressions of my first horse riding experience

It was my first time riding a horse, so I was nervous but excited at the same time. I felt comfortable going by myself, and the staff were very kind, it really was like a family. They told me all the important things to remember, and along the way they gently taught me the horses' names, personalities, how to kick, etc. We even went into the sea. It was very stimulating. I rode like a prince living on the plains (lol). At the end, the staff guided me to relax and have some ice cream, and above all it really was a family-like atmosphere. I had a lot of fun. Thank you very much. (This review has been machine translated)
  • Horse trekking along the seaside

I participated as a family of three, including my son who is a high school student. We were well looked after by the kind and proper guides and the experienced horses. We also enjoyed the nature of Hokkaido. (This review has been machine translated)
  • It was very cold but fun!

I participated alone. It was a snowy day and very cold, but they lent me all my winter clothes, which was a big help. The scenery was beautiful, and I had fun going into the ocean. I've heard it's really nice around June, so I'd definitely like to go again. The horses grazing there were also very free to move around, so I think you'll be able to experience the charm of Hokkaido. (This review has been machine translated)
  • I've never been so frustrated while riding a horse.

I made a reservation in advance and arrived on time on the day, but they said that there were no reservations. There may have been some confusion, but there was no explanation of the course, and before I knew it, I was in the super beginner course, even though I told them that I had about 10 horse riding experiences. I was at the back of the horse, and the instructor was at the front, a few dozen meters away, so time passed without me being able to say anything. (The instructor did not say hello or introduce himself, and the first time we exchanged words was after the end.) The horse was very well trained, so it only did a good job of walking closely behind the horse in front of it on the set course. It was a very docile horse, not very interesting, but I think it was very safe. I think they explained that it could be galloped, but there was no explanation at all, and 100 minutes passed with just walking. It says that lessons are included, but if it is judged that you can ride normally, there will be no lessons. I think there are many problems with communication, but I think the facilities and horses are good. Super beginners may enjoy it. (This review has been machine translated)
  • it was fun!!

Right from the start, they were very kind to me, even though I got off at the wrong bus stop and they came to pick me up. The club offers authentic British riding, and it was spacious and nice, with an indoor riding arena. The horses were very well behaved, and I was able to safely go to and from Ishikari Bay. The weather was unpredictable when I went. Next time, I'd like to take a horse riding lesson! (This review has been machine translated)
  • Even if it's your first time, you can enjoy it with peace of mind.

Take a bus from the main street to the nearest "3-sen" bus stop. There, you will be picked up by a car and arrive soon. Choose the equipment you want to rent, take a break with tea or juice, and enjoy watching the horses while waiting for the start time. You will be given a simple lesson on how to handle the horses in the riding arena, and after a few practice laps and your body gets used to it, you will finally go outside. From the footpath next to the rice fields, through a grassy area full of bamboo leaves, to the overseas line. There is nothing to worry about. The horses are so well trained that you can say they are almost driving automatically. After walking along the shore for a while, we make a U-turn. It is a total of 100 minutes of riding, but it is really comfortable. I will definitely come again someday! (This review has been machine translated)
  • Japan Sea Coast Trekking

I have done horse riding twice in Nagano and twice in Hokkaido, but I was drawn to coastal trekking and applied for this. They lent me a full set of pants, jacket, shoes, gloves, helmets, etc. for free, and there was a wide variety so I could choose what I liked, which was great. (In my experience, it was paid.) However, what was disappointing was that I was put on the beginner's course, not the brisk walking experience that was mentioned in the email when I made the reservation. I should have explained this clearly at the time of booking, but the 100-minute walk was a bit painful, but the distance to the sea was long enough, the time was 100 minutes, and the price was good, so I think the beginners were satisfied. I explained that it was different from what I had applied for, and after the trekking, I practiced brisk walking inside the fence. Thank you. Next time, I would like to explain it clearly and experience brisk walking on the coast. (This review has been machine translated)
