This is a canoe tour accompanied by a Hokkaido-certified canoe guide.
No need to rent a car! Free pick-up and drop-off from New Chitose Airport is included. (If you have a car, we can meet you at the site.)
You will receive a free digital copy of photos taken during the tour, and drinks and snacks to enjoy on the canoe are also included.

- Free shuttle service from New Chitose Airport included! No need to worry about winter roads or rent a car! The trip to the tour location is only 10 minutes!
- Enjoy snack time on the canoe!
- Winter is migratory bird season, and birds like the Whooper Swan, which spends the winter downstream at Lake Utonai, visit the Bibi River. You may also spot Steller’s sea eagles and white-tailed eagles in the sky.
- This area boasts a high rate of sunny days in winter, and daytime temperatures rarely drop below -10°C, even in the middle of winter, making canoeing a pleasure.
- The guides will provide you with digital photos! You cannot take canoe photos from inside the canoe at risk of losing your device, but canoeing photos are a lifelong memory. The photos alone are worth participating for!
- Rest assured, your guide is a Hokkaido Governor-certified Outdoor Master Guide, and holds other guide, rescue, and first aid qualifications.
- Children ages 1 and older are welcome. This is a relatively warm area for Hokkaido, with daytime temperatures rarely dropping below -10°C. Young children ages 1-2 may participate at the discretion of their parents, but please make sure they dress warmly for playing in the snow.
- Children must be accompanied by a guardian

- Itinerary
- Arrive at the tour starting point.
- Prepare your life jacket, paddle, etc. After receiving a lesson on how to paddle a canoe, the tour begins.
- The guide will be nearby to support and take photos with their SLR camera so they don’t miss any photo opportunities. This allows guests to concentrate on the canoeing. Of course, guests can also take photos with their own camera.
- Immediately after starting, go under a bridge for a view that can only be reached by canoe. You will paddle through the scenery that blends seamlessly into the landscape
- About halfway through, take a break with warm tea and sweets.
- The Bibi River has a slow current, and depending on the weather, you may finish at the same place as the starting point or at a different location (as determined by the guide on the day). In either case, return to the meeting point or New Chitose Airport in the guide’s car.

Notes
- The guide will not ride in the canoe, but will accompany in a separate canoe, making it easy to operate even for first-time visitors.
- Although it is stated that children aged 1 and over can participate, this is a winter activity in Hokkaido. Please dress warmly and be able to play in the snow.
- Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
- If the tour cannot proceed due to heavy rain, lightning, wind, or blizzard, we will cancel the tour and inform you.
- The tour may be canceled suddenly without prior notice due to a sudden deterioration of weather. Safety first.
Cancellation / Changes
- A cancellation fee of 100% is charged if cancelled on the day of the event or in case of a no-show
- A cancellation fee of 50% is charged if cancelled 3 days or less before the event
- There is no cancellation fee for changing the date, but if the reservation is fully booked and cannot be changed, a cancellation fee will be charged.

Relax and enjoy the nature of Hokkaido
My husband and I came to Hokkaido hoping to eat some delicious seafood. In early December, when there is less activity, we took a shuttle from New Chitose Airport to the Bibi River. Our guide, Kenta, taught us about the charms and lifestyle of Hokkaido, as well as the origins and nature of the Bibi River, while canoeing! It was so much fun, and we were treated to hot tea in the beautiful scenery and had some great photos taken. We were very satisfied! He even took a video! Because canoeing can be enjoyed in all four seasons, we would like to return in a different season!! -
A time of healing♪
I participated with my family. We canoeed through the great outdoors on warm days that didn't seem like late March. It was very relaxing. The guide even checked my child's name, and called him "Mr./Ms. XX," which made him feel closer to him. We took lots of photos, and it became a very fond memory.

It became a good memory.
We used this service on our honeymoon in Hokkaido. It was our first time canoeing, but our guide gave us detailed instructions on how to paddle, so it was no problem. The scenery was beautiful, the canoeing was fun, and it became a fond memory. -
