- The countryside has some ups and downs, but with an electric-assist bicycle it’s easy to navigate the slopes
- There’s plenty to enjoy, including orchards and freshly fried minced fish tempura!
Even the rolling hills in the countryside are easy to navigate on an electric-assisted bicycle. If you get tired, stop by Yokoyama Orchard and take a break while experiencing Abashiri’s agriculture.
Afterwards, ride to the Impressive Sutra and enjoy a panoramic view of the rural landscape that supports Abashiri’s lifestyle! Enjoy the beauty of nature throughout the seasons, from the melting snow and the sight of the Gyojana Farm, cherry fields, and giant wheat straw rolls.
At Kitami Foods, enjoy freshly fried surimi tempura from Abashiri, the birthplace of frozen surimi!
Afterwards, cycle along the lakeside cycling course to the beautiful red-brick prison. Take a commemorative photo at a place steeped in pioneer history.
