After completing their migration in the North Ocean, salmon and trout return to their birthplace in the rivers of Shiretoko.
This autumn we will follow them on a walk as they risk their lives to swim upstream to spawn. Along the way, your guide will teach and introduce the role they play in the Shiretoko nature area.

Notes
- If a trail is closed due to brown bear sightings, we may change to an alternative walking location.
- The tour will proceed in case of rain.
- If the tour cannot proceed due to heavy rain, lightning, wind, or blizzard, we will cancel the tour and inform you.
- There is no restroom available during the tour. Please keep this in mind before starting.
- Please come to the agreed place on time. If you are late on the day of the tour, we might cancel your reservation so that the other guests can participate.
- Encounters with wildlife are not 100% guaranteed.
- Be responsible for your own health. If you do not feel good, please consider cancelling the tour.
Cancellation / Changes
- A cancellation fee of 100% is charged if cancelled one the day of the event or in case of a no-show
- A cancellation fee of 50% is charged if cancelled 1 day or less before the event
- A cancellation fee of 20% is charged if cancelled 2 days or less before the event
