    • So much fun making Japanese sweets!

My family of three generations scheduled a wagashi-making class with Ms Yuki Ishiguro in July 2024 at her tranquil home studio in the suburbs of Sapporo. Having lived in Canada, she spoke good English and it was painless communicating with her via email to book the experience in advance. During the class, we made four pieces of wagashi each: two identical Temari (ball) wagashi and two Nerikiri Kinton (mistletoe) wagashi in green and pink. Yuki also kindly provided recommendations for local haunts for lunch and dessert shops near her home. Overall, this is a peaceful experience suitable for tailored instruction in small groups. Thank you Yuki for a pleasant time.
