Tour Highlights

- We provide “cross-legged chairs” that will help prevent fatigue in your back and knees!
- You can try the smelt you catch as tempura or fried food on the spot!
A winter tradition! Come enjoy ice fishing for smelt by drilling a hole in the frozen lake! The ice shelter tent is equipped with an outdoor kerosene stove, so you can fish comfortably in a warm tent.
*Internationally qualified personnel are always on-site: WFR (Wilderness First Responder)

- To go to the fishing spot, you will use a ladder to climb over a fence ~1 meter high

What to Bring & Wear
- Cold weather gear- warm and easy-to-move-in clothes
- Snowwear tops and bottoms, light down jacket, or similar wear
- Cold weather gloves are a must. Ski or snowboard gloves are also acceptable.
- Waterproof trekking shoes, boots, or snow boots with thick socks.
- Knit hat
- Sunglasses or snow goggles

- 08:30/12:40: Meet at the north exit of JR Sapporo Station (in front of Lawson Sapporo Station North Exit, 8-1 Kita 7-jo Nishi 2-chome, Kita-ku, Sapporo, Hokkaido)
- 08:40/12:50: Departure (scheduled)
- 09:20/13:30: Arrive at Ishikari Sato Fisheries Salmon Factory
- 09:40/13:50: Start smelt fishing (starts from 2 hours)
Staff will fry the smelt you catch in between fishing sessions. - 11:40/15:50: End of experience/drop-off
- 12:20/16:30: Arrive at the north exit of JR Sapporo Station/disband
Depending on ice and smelt conditions, the fishing location may change. As a results, the toilets and shop may be further away. Thank you for your understanding.

- Fishing rod and reel set (Gold) – You can set the shelf where the smelt swim numerically. Lease fee: 550 yen
- Fishing rod and electric reel set (Platinum), all-in-one smelt remover, electric reel table lease fee: 1,800 yen
- Cold weather waterproof boots + wetsuit material tabi socks lease fee: 500 yen (Boots are required on site. If you do not have your own, please be sure to let us know your size in advance. We will provide you with a size about 1cm larger than usual to accommodate the wetsuit material tabi socks). Please let us know the size of the boots you normally wear in the summer.

Notes
- If the tour cannot proceed due to heavy rain, lightning, wind, or blizzard, we will cancel the tour and inform you.
- Before heading to the fishing spot, you will need to climb over a fence approximately 1 meter high. We will provide a stepladder, but those who find it difficult or unable to climb over the fence will not be able to participate.
- We do not provide winter clothing, so please dress warmly. Depending on the snow melting and the day, winter boots may be required. Rentals are available (500 yen per pair, including tabi socks for wet weather). Please let us know your shoe size when you register or at least 3 days before the experience.
- We may change the location to a location with more smelt. This may result in the toilets and shop being further away. Thank you for your understanding.
Cancellation / Changes
- A cancellation fee of 100% is charged if cancelled on the day of the event or in case of a no-show
A cancellation fee of 50% is charged if cancelled on the day before the event
A cancellation fee of 40% is charged if cancelled 3 days or less before the event
