Moerenuma Park in Sapporo is a park that was planned on the concept of “Circular Green Belt Development.” This concept is a goal set for Sapporo to develop more parks and green spaces across the city.
The basic design of the park was created by world-renowned sculptor Isamu Noguchi. His vision for Moerenuma Park was making the whole of the park a comprehensive single sculpture. This vast site is neatly arranged, with facilities such as mountains, fountains, and playground equipment. It makes extensive use of geometric forms, allowing you to enjoy a beautiful landscape where nature and art blend together.
Even beginners and those who have never ridden a road bike can feel at ease. Before the tour, a cycling instructor (certified by the Japan Cycling Association) will give you a lesson on how to ride, so you can enjoy cycling even if you don’t have much experience.
